Toolbar auto-hide
- Open the hamburger menu and turn on Auto-hide Doc/Canvas Toolbar.
- Under Auto-hide in, choose 5s, 8s, or 10s.
- Return to the document or Canvas/PenPad. Its toolbar slides out of view after the delay.
- To show a hidden toolbar again, click or tap the small downward-arrow notch at the top-center of that pane.
- Turn the switch off to keep the toolbars visible.
Auto-hide starts off, with 8s as its default delay. Delay buttons are unavailable while the switch is off. These choices apply to the current app session; reopening the app restores the defaults.
Pointer activity on a visible toolbar or its pane restarts the countdown. A hidden toolbar is revealed through its notch. Document View expands into the top space released by its hidden toolbar. Where a pane provides a Close control, a small Close button remains available while its toolbar is hidden. Auto-hide can pause while an open dialog or an active control needs the toolbar to stay visible.
This setting affects the document and Canvas/PenPad toolbars, including their full-screen views. The permanent top-left app controls and the document’s page scrollbar are separate controls.
